UI Component Generator - AgentFront

Generates a React component inside the @frontmcp/ui-components package with an MUI scaffold, spec file, and barrel index.

Usage

nx g @frontmcp/nx:ui-component LoginForm

Options

Option	Type	Default	Description
`name`	`string`	—	Required. Component name (PascalCase or kebab-case — auto-converted to PascalCase)
`description`	`string`	`""`	Optional description for the component
`skipFormat`	`boolean`	`false`	Skip running Prettier after generation

Generated Files

ui/components/src/LoginForm/
  index.ts
  LoginForm.tsx
  LoginForm.spec.tsx

LoginForm.tsx

import React from 'react';
import { Box, Typography } from '@mui/material';

export interface LoginFormProps {
  // TODO: define props
}

export function LoginForm(props: LoginFormProps) {
  return (
    <Box>
      <Typography>TODO: implement LoginForm</Typography>
    </Box>
  );
}

index.ts

export { LoginForm } from './LoginForm';
export { LoginForm as default } from './LoginForm';
export type { LoginFormProps } from './LoginForm';

Auto-Updates

The generator also updates three files in your workspace:

ui/components/project.json — adds the entry to additionalEntryPoints in both build-cjs and build-esm targets
tsconfig.base.json — adds the path alias @frontmcp/ui-components/LoginForm → ./ui/components/src/LoginForm/index.ts (relative, so it resolves with or without a baseUrl)
ui/components/src/index.ts — appends export * from './LoginForm'

Consuming

import { LoginForm } from '@frontmcp/ui-components/LoginForm';

Example

# Kebab-case input is auto-converted to PascalCase
nx g @frontmcp/nx:ui-component my-widget
# Creates: ui/components/src/MyWidget/MyWidget.tsx
